1. Sun Temple of Modhera

Sun temple of Modhera is famous for its architecture. There are very few temples for the Surya Deva in Gujarat in which, this is the most visited place. Because of its not on name, but for its sthapatya kala.There are mainly three parts in the temple first one is Praveshdwar, second one is Garbhagriha and third one is Kunda. The attraction part of the temple is the history of this marvellous place. Modhera Temple and its dedication to the Sun God will leave you stunned. – The temple was so constructed that during every equinox, the first sun rays would fall on a diamond placed on the Sun God’s head. And the entire temple would illuminate in a golden glow. – On other days, two pillars before the garbhagriha would stay illuminated throughout the day, regardless of the position of the sun. All of these can only be left to imagination now. The temple is situated on the bank of Pushpvati. A tourist should visit once in life this temple. And this place will make a priceless impression in your heart. This place is now in the hands of Archaeological Survey of India for renovation and restoration. In 2014, this Modhera Sun Temple was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

2. Girnar at Junagadh

Girnar is the most beautiful place in Junagadh and in gujrat. One who visit gujarat, he must visit this place. This place is so attractive with its natural beauty. Girnar is older than the Himalaya. Girnar is the best place for tracking. There are more than 10000 steps on Girnar. The view of Girnar from Upperkot( another place in Junagadh with its historical importance) is like sleeping position of Lord shiva. For this view, you have to visit Upperkot.

Mountain Girnar has three hills mainly. The first hill occupied with the temple of Maa Ambey.This is one of the 52 Shakti peethas . It is believed that the stomach of the Devi had fallen here. The temple is on the top of the Girnar mountain called Ambika Shikhar . One has to climb 5000 steps to reach the temple located at a height of 3664 feet. The second hill is a little bit difficult because there is a narrow place go to climb the third and the last hill. The second hill with its name called “Gay nu galu”. And after reaching at the top of the third hill, Guru Datatrey’s temple is there on the third hill. There is a big bell on this hill. One who reaches that place it’s rung by that person. Because the way is too long to visit the top of Girnar. So, one feels like he won the battle. The Girnar mountain ranges are considered to be sacred. It is an important pilgrimage site for both Jains and Hindus, who gather here during the Girnar Parikrama festival.

3. Nilkanth Dham at Poicha, Vadodara

The place, where you feel like heaven is Nilkanth dham. At the bank of Narmada, this beautiful place is situated. Now let’s talk about this wonderful place. This temple is dedicated to lord Shajanand swami. This holy place has many parts in it. The construction of this place is amazing. Rather it would be saying that one of the finest constructions for Swami narayan. In the temple there are 108 cow’s neck in which water flow out day and night. The drone view of the temple must be seen. The temple has many uniqueness in it. The lighting is also beautiful. The foodzone also do its job very nicely.

4. White Desert of Kutch( Safed ran)

“Kutchh Nahi Dekha To Kutchh Nahi Dekha” popular line say about the beauty of Kutch. There are many places to see in kutch. But the white desert of kutch is amazing, the white desert also called Rann of Kutch.

The Great Rann of Kutch is a salt marsh in the thar desert in the Kutch district . It is about 7500 km2 (2900 sq miles) in area and is reputed to be one of the largest salt desert in the world. This area has been inhabited by the Ktchi people. At night, an unexplained strange dancing light phenomenon known locally as Chir Batti (ghost lights) occurs in the Rann, the adjoining Banni grassland, and the seasonal wetlands. The Government of Gujarat hosts an annual 3 month long festival during winter called the Rann Utsav where tourists can see the various sights of the Rann. Rann Utsav gives visitors not only a chance to experience full moon on salt deserts but also get a taste of the local culture, cuisine and hospitality. Specially built local houses are also used to house tourists to give them a taste of local traditions.

5. Dwarka

A city of gold – Dwarka, the mesmerizing kingdom of Lord Krishna. The temple of Dwarka, it would better to say Jagat Mandir Dwarka is situated on the bank of river Gomati. The structure of the temple shows the great sanskrit of the region. Lord Krishna when came to Dwarka from Mathura to build his new kingdom where he would later spend a significant part of his life. Located at the western tip of the Saurashtra peninsula, this town enjoys remarkable importance in Hindu lore. It is the only place considered both one of the four principal holy places (char dham), as well as one of the seven ancient towns (sapta puris) to visit. For this reason, millions of pilgrims and historical scholars have come here over the centuries. Every morning all people of Dwarka come to worship of Lord Krishna with tulsi mala. The atmosphere of the temple with the roar of the seashore, it’s simply amazing. Lakhs of people are visiting this place in a year.

6. Sabarmati Ashram at Ahmedabad

A Sabarmati Ashram is situated on the bank of river sabarmati at Ahmedabad. This ashram is most visited by the tourists because this ashram played a vital role in freedom.

Gandhiji lived in the ashram for 12 years with his wife Kasturba Gandhi and with many other people. The ashram was not only for satyagrah but there were many other activities done, for self employment. 7. Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple at Somnath

It is believed that The somnath jyotirling is the first amongst the 12 jyotirlingas. It has a strategic location on the western coast of India. The Pran-Pratistha at the existing temple was done on 11th May 1951 by then President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. The temple has intricate carvings, silver doors, an impressive Nandi idol and the central shivalinga. In the vast courtyard stand the massive mandapa (hall), as well as the main shrine, whose gently curved pyramidal forms tower over the whole complex. Through a side door the sea is visible shimmering in the sunlight. The Kartik Purnima Fair is held here for four days beginning on Kartik Sud 14 according to the Hindu calendar, and attracts crowds in large numbers.

8. Laxmi Vilas Palace at Vadodara

Laxmi Vilas Palace is one of the most majestic structures in India and was the private residence of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. Known to be the largest private dwelling of the size equivalent to four times of the Buckingham Palace, this magnificent palace is a must visit when in Vadodara. Sprawling across an area of about 700 acres, it is still home to the royal family of Vadodara, the Gaekwads. The lush gardens of the palace add to the beauty of the entire experience of being here. Lucky tourists can spot monkeys or peacocks strutting around. The grounds also include a 10-hole golf course. In earlier times, a small zoo was also a part of the area. What remains today are a small pond and a few crocodiles. The museum building was mainly constructed as a school for the Maharaja’s children. Today, the museum houses an extraordinary collection of paintings by Raja Ravi Verma and various other artefacts gathered from all around the world.

9. Rani ki Vav, Patan

Rani ki vav is considered as the finest and one of the largest example of the stepwell architecture in Gujarat. The vav consists colonnades and walls which lead down to deep circular well. It is classified as a Nanda-type stepwell.

The entrance is located on the east and the well is on the west. It measures approximately 65 m long and 20 m wide and 28 m deep. A stepped corridor is compartmented at regular intervals with pillared multistory pavilions. The pillars, columns, brackets and beams are ornamented with carvings and scroll work. The niches in the side walls are ornamented with extremely beautiful and delicate figures.There is also a small gate below the last step of the step well, with a 30-kilometre tunnel, currently blocked by stones and mud, which leads to the town of Sidhpur near Patan. It was used as an escape gateway for the king, who built the step well in the times of defeat

10. Tithal Beach at Valasad.

This beach is famous for its black sand. It is a popular tourist destination in south Gujarat. The main beach has several shops selling Indian snacks like Bhajiya, Dabeli, Bhel chaat, sweet corn roasted on charcoal, and also freshly prepared sugar cane juice, coconut water and souvenirs.

11. Shivrajpur beach, Dwarka.

The Beach which has won the Blue Flag Tag is not other then but Shivrajpur beach of Dwarka, Gujrat. Dwarka makes a phenomenal base for a vacation of sightseeing, pilgrimage, sea shore exercises and in any event, watching winged animals and marine life.  Shivrajpur Beach is  only 15 minutes north of the Rukmani temple. This long, immaculate sea shore extends close to the shivrajpur village, between a beacon and a rough shoreline. It is good for a long walk, if it is possible. Others should visit seaside locales close to Dwarka are Okha Madhi for its fine sands and Poshitara for its coral reefs and marine life. The Charakhla salt dish close to Mithapur draws in a huge number of flamingos, many pelicans, groups of painted storks and an assortment of different flying creatures. From Okha, you may take the ship to the island of Bet Dwarka which has sanctuaries, beautiful sea shores and anrich of marine life.
